Since I spent the first half of my life submerged in either salty or heavily chlorinated water, it’ s no surprise that the allure of sea shells has been constant and uninterrupted in my life. I took this picture last week in an artful flower shop just a block off the water in Manhattan Beach, California. Beach towns have their own unique vibe and Manhattan Beach is quintessential Cali cool. Now that my son lives there, I’ll be spending a lot more time close to the water soaking up the California sun.
