It’s been a long time since I’ve done one of these posts! Whew have I missed it. Finally putting away the last load of laundry from our 2 1/2 week European junket. Moving around through Europe is inspiring but also demanding. As an introvert, I much prefer staying home and reading on the back patio by the pool. But everyone in our family was able to make the trip to Greece, so off we went. Happiness is the dominant emotion in my spirit when we are all together. It’s the steady inclination on my heart to gather with the ones I love the most.
I took this picture on our last evening in Mykonos. The sunsets over the Aegean are magic. The whole island seems to hush and wait in collective suspension until the last light flickers out over the horizon. Then the island comes alive. I love that the restaurants, bars and shops stay open until 1 or 2 in the morning. The pulsating rhythm never seems to moderate! Needless to say, our mornings were slow and leisurely! Here’s to hoping your weekend mornings are a little slower this summer, and you have some extra time to read these things worth knowing from around the web.
